The Fendi Fendiness Line is Green, Yellow, Black and Blue

  • By Bryan Goh

Every item from the Fendi Fendiness line is made from 100% regenerated nylon fibre.

Funnily enough, the most important colour in the Fendi Fendiness collection is not its iconic yellow (though its most certainly present in the collection) or the other usual suspects like black or cobalt blue (yup, still present though). The most important colour in the collection is green albeit a more abstract form.

Yes, the Fendi Fendiness collection has three icons: the Fendi FF logo, its cheery yellow and most importantly, a rendition of the Baguette.

The colour green is the concept on which the Fendi Fendiness collection is built around. Simply put, how each piece is crafted in Aquafil’s ECONYL®, a 100% regenerated nylon fibre. A densely weaved nylon (it only slightly pales in comparison to the tear-proof properties of Ripstop) woven together from nylon waste (you know, fishing nets, scraps of fabric, carpet flooring and industrial waste) into one sheet of fabric that feels good in one’s hands.

How has the humble but sometimes collegiate-looking backpack been souped up? A bright splash of Fendi yellow.

How is the collection the Fendiness of the Fendi line then? Well, the ethos of the brand is still present: two bags made for the man on the move who frankly, does not need to carry much in this digital world.

The Baguette Messenger allows one to go hands-free with all he needs (really, just his phone, wallet and a portable charger) and the Fendiness backpack does not look clunky or cumbersome. Slightly above an A4 size if one just needs to tote documents. And most importantly, each piece has the recognisable FF logo and that, is a measure of good taste today.
