#ManCrushMonday — Lee Min Ho’s Airport Style Includes Tailored Trousers

  • By Bryan Goh

The similarities between Lee Min Ho and the common Singaporean man starts with us having to serve mandatory military service and ends with what exactly we did during said service. While we probably spent two years tethered to our phones playing Clash of Clans or taking six hour naps (sorry encik, my bunk no wifi), the 32-year old Korean superstar spent it improving his acting chops. Namely, the art of pronunciation, enunciation and vocalisation.

If one thinks that Lee works hard, take a peep at his latest airport outfit — the Dior Men’s look he’s wearing works equally hard as him.

If your finger is poised to search the looks on Dior’s site, Lee is wearing the Dior and Raymond Pettibon collection. The bag is the Safari Dior Oblique duffle bag.

We’ve previously covered the Dior and Raymond Pettibon collection where we exalted its Parisian punk meets left-bank sensibilities — the street versus luxury look, its arty sensibilities and the subtle nods to Pettibon’s iconic artworks. While one might think that the look is best reserved for the 1% (aka the elites) or influencers, Lee’s airport get-up (the actor was reportedly flying to Bali for a shoot) doesn’t come as a surprise to us because he’s Korean (aka he hails from a country where its celebrities are the pinnacle of ace airport fashion).

Unlike his flashier counterparts, the sweater he’s wearing is from the collection but it’s in a neutral shade of grey and the tailored trousers are a step-up from the sloppy-sweatpants-syndrome. The finishing touch is the iconic Safari Dior Oblique duffle bag. We might be fans of  the humble backpack for travelling but then again, he’s Lee Min Ho — he probably has an assistant to carry the rest of his things.

In case you’re wondering, yes, we recommend this look in real life to live your own paparazzi-free life.
