The pair of sneakers Bright is wearing? They’re called the Fendi Match sneakers.
While it might seem pretty early to talk about what might be one of the best sneakers of the year (firstly, you’d never know what the conglomerates will produce and secondly, we’re only halfway into December), the reason why the Fendi Match sneakers hits close to the top is pretty simple. It’s simple. Like, no-brainer simple.
Let us firstly elucidate how intense the three ways the sneaker cycle evolved in 2021: you’d either want to cop something from a blockbuster collaboration (which is to say, you sacrificed some sleep) between two titans, purchase a reissue from the archives that hasn’t been around in decades or purchased something from a small brand that became big on social media.

While the Fendi Match sneakers are somewhat pleasing in their vintage-like appeal (to be exacting, vintage tennis shoes from the 1950s), the most no-brainer part would be its colourways and materials. The former, four colourways (true neutrals like white, black, beige and pink) and the latter, terry cloth details on the laces and collar with hardy rubber cupsoles that can survive a grind.
And if low cuts aren’t your thing, they come in a high-dunk silhouette of course, with the iconic FF pattern sewn on the side with emboshed Fendi lettering on the sole.
