What’s a more exciting idea than copping the freshest and flyest designer goods of the season (and note, there are a lot of ’em)? The advertising campaigns that help you contextualise what you’re slipping on your foot or holding in your hands, duh.

While you might have seen some of these menswear Spring Summer 2021 ad campaigns floating on the internet, we’ve rounded up our favourites here: a brief but bulky primer on how to dress a little spiffier, a little out-of-the-box or, some visual inspiration for your next ‘gram.

Pictured above: Shot by Renell Medrano and styled by Olivier Rizzo, the Coach Spring 2021 campaign isn’t one of the most exciting menswear Spring Summer 2021 ad campaigns because of its famous faces. In a statement, creative director Stuart Vevers explained that, with this campaign, he aimed “to evolve our Coach family story and speak to the way in which collective action and optimism can change things for the better. At the start of a new year and new chapter for so many, it’s important to put ourselves out there and support and recognize one another.

If that doesn’t sort of touch your heart, the film below is guaranteed to. Fyi, it’s hard not to have your heart well up based on what Jeremy Lin is saying.

Dior Men

Punctuated by flowers and saturated in deep rich colour, the Dior Men campaign is a sincere homage to Ghanian artist Amoako Boafa; the brilliant mind that collaborated with Kim Jones on the collection itself. “The vibrant colors of this campaign perfectly reflect the powerful energy of the summer 2021 collection. It’s really a celebration of Amoako Boafo’s work,” Jones said in a statement.

And a statement, one of the most romantic menswear Spring Summer 2021 ad campaigns is.

While it’s easy to make a dad pun based on the visuals of this campaign (…making..a…splash?), photographer Branislav Simoncik has taken the tall tanned Dolce&Gabbana boys out of the streets and into the studio. A burst of sea inspired colours and ’60s architecture for one of the punchiest menswear Spring Summer 2021 ad campaigns that doesn’t scrimp on the fashion: boxy shirts, soft tailoring and graphic polos.

Welcome To the Menswear Spring Summer 2021 Ad Campaigns Fendi
Cardinal red (you know, like the passerine birds found in North and South America) and sky blue are one of Silvia Venturini Fendi’s favourites colours. Which makes even more sense that they appear in this campaign lensed by Nick Knight: a somewhat cerebral take on an already intellectual collection.

Boyhood connotations? Check. A balls-to-the-wall fantasy like setting? Check. Lensed by Tim Walker, one of the trippiest menswear Spring Summer 2021 ad campaigns cements what Virgil Abloh has been championing since he helmed the storied house of Louis Vuitton.

Welcome To the Menswear Spring Summer 2021 Ad Campaigns Prada
The first collaboration between Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons isn’t the most exciting part of this ad campaign. It’s in its interactivity: you’re welcome to answer several questions the house of Prada issues to you on their website itself. If that isn’t impressive enough, the campaign was shot with hundreds of cameras as opposed to the one in a photographer’s hand.

You might not recognise Justice Smith in this picture but he’s the dude who played Tim Goodman in the Detective Pikachu movie. Aside, one of the most pleasingly simple menswear Spring Summer 2021 ad campaigns has David Sims behind the lens.

Welcome To the Menswear Spring Summer 2021 Ad Campaigns Versace

Firstly, the fashion. Lensed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the Versace campaign is a loving tribute to the house’s classics. Secondly, the accessories. Grasped in Raphael Balzer’s hands is the latest it-accessory of the season: an iPhone case with a Medusa-head plaque.
