Jonathan Anderson and his eponymous label find inspiration in the beloved South Korean animated series Run Hany as part of his Fall Winter ’22 collection, directly collaborating with the original illustrator and creator, Jinju. Depicting the story of a spirited 13-year-old girl who uses preternatural track and field skills to escape a harsh environment, the 1980s cult classic remains a symbol of sportsmanship, empathy and love today. This nostalgic and heartwarming sentiment is generously splashed in big, fun, bespoke prints all over Bumper bags, tracksuits, hoodies and bucket hats.
Culture Vulture
Leveraging on Gucci Vault’s experimental freedom, Gucci partners up with London streetwear brand Palace Skateboards to create a unisex capsule that combines the road, rodeo, skate, and sport, to reflect the multifaceted identity of modern street culture. This tasteful ode to the haphazard creativity of the youth fuses the double-G of Gucci with Palace’s Tri-Ferg on soccer tees, denim, and tracksuits. At the same time, duffles are reshaped with the pyramidal form of the Tri-Ferg, and youthful colours of bubblegum pink, camouflage and baby blue to reimagine Gucci’s heritage.
Ride Or Die
Good fashion pieces come with a good story; more often than not, the best stories are the ones pieces can tell themselves.
