Onitsuka Tiger has opened a new flagship in Singapore that showcases a wider range of the Japanese fashion brand’s collections, including a dedicated lounge area for their NIPPON MADE™ line.
Just last Tuesday, Onitsuka Tiger opened its new flagship store’s doors to the public to welcome a wider viewing of its extensive shoe and ready-to-wear collections. The refreshed space is physically expanded, made more luxurious and nearly two times its original size. With the new interior, it is clear that the spritely energy of the Japanese brand’s contemporary and creative core is ever present and buzzing.
Among its new features, a luxe marble-style floor, a chaise sofa lounge corner with illuminated by globed chandeliers stand out — part of the dedicated space to showcase their NIPPON MADE™ line. Featuring the pride of Japanese shoe craftsmanship, this collection is the finer end of their footwear creations, an array of elevated designs that are well-loved by the sneaker-head community worldwide.
As for the ready-to-wear showing, the right side of the store becomes an homage to the monochromatic Autumn Winter 2022 runway presentation at Milan Fashion Week in February earlier this year, which is based on the concept of “Shadow”. As worn by our August 2022 issue cover stars, the designs are simple, minimalist, yet unified by flame and flower prints on the hems of some garments. These bold combinations bring out similarly bold attitudes and encourage those more reserved to take a step forward, and when accompanied by the timeless shoes designs, make for a go-to outfit one can always turn to.
The store opening event at Takashimaya Shopping Centre saw the attendance of personalities that included Joel Choo, Mae Tan, as well as our August cover stars Shye and Tabitha Nauser among others.
