The house of Balmain’s contract with Ittierre Spa was due to end only in 2016. However, the fashion label  has reassumed complete control of the production and distribution of the Pierre Balmain collection. However, no reason has been given for the departure.

This is not the first time that a brand has ended their contract early with Ittierre. Previously, Karl Lagerfeld Paris’s licence was terminated after two seasons. 

However, Pierre Balmain still has plans to show a women’s collection and men’s capsule collection for Fall 2014.
