#ManCrushMonday — Lay Zhang Proves That Florals are Forever
Ironically, for an industry that loves to quote that iconic movie line, we seem to be guilty of blurting that trend during seasonal meetings. Not keen on ugly shoes? Floral sneakers it is. Not sold on the Canadian tuxedo? A spangly floral jacket it is. Consider it the editorial trump card of a panicky magazine writer if you will.

But there is a reason why the print springs (sorry, we couldn’t help it) back every season. It requires no finicking unlike the aggressiveness of an animal print, it’s usually splashed on skin-soothing fabrics like silk or cotton and when done right, makes you look like a stylish cousin instead of a boozy uncle.

This season, Lay Zhang knows what’s good: you can get away with wearing a solid yellow gold watch when you have a manicured floral Valentino shirt on your body.

In fact, such is the power of the shirt. You can wear it with what you already have lying in your closet.
