Some of you may know Hampstead as a village in North London — home to the United Kingdom’s most expensive housing and a number of its millionaires. What’s perhaps not so commonly known is that it was also where Alfred Dunhill himself was educated, at a private school by tutors until he was 15. Now, Hampstead has become the name of Dunhill’s latest collection of bags and accessories. According to the brand, the range is countryside-meets-metropolis — “the perfect coming together for the Dunhill man”.
The cowhide leather and cotton-lined range mirrors the elegant restraint of the label’s automotive-tinged Spring/Summer 2017 ready-to-wear collection. Much like the garments, the understated key styles — travel bag, document case, tote, rucksack and messenger bag — cater to the busy gentleman on the go, for the workplace and weekend. They are offered in timeless, day-to-night hues synonymous with Dunhill: navy and dark brown. The travel bag, north south pouch and flap messenger also come with straps tastefully decorated with subtle stripe details.
