First seen in their Winter 2022 show, Bottega Veneta’s Pillow Sneaker is now available in white, black and parakeet green.
Seamlessly blending into the extra-long trousers of models that came down Bottega Veneta’s Winter 2022 show last season, the Pillow Sneaker was first teased as a new footwear addition to the house without much distinguishable detail. This is of course on-brand with their “your own initials are enough” tagline, but show-goers and fashion folk alike were nonetheless curious to know more about this mysterious shoe.
Now, the Pillow Sneaker is officially out as the brand’s new iteration of the chunky, 90’s skate shoe. Packed with a thick, cloud-foam sole and made of buttery-soft calf leather and mesh lining, the Pillow sneaker sports a clean, minimal finish.
Other than a pull tab on the heel, there are barely any other embellishments save for Bottega’s logo embossed discreetly on the tongue.
But perhaps the embellishment is the way the colour is able to pop through the smooth bodice of the shoe, free of disruption. The white, black and striking parakeet green, make for understated yet intentional statement makers that are a breeze to style with.
Or if you want to go even subtler, there’s a white iteration with a parakeet sole; the bright burst of green will only show when you lift your feet to walk.
