Prada just unveiled its latest campaign for spring and it features some of the most-talked about names in Hollywood. Ethan Hawke (Boyhood), Ansel Elgort (The Fault In Our Stars), Miles Teller (Whiplash) and Jack O’Connell (Unbroken) star in the very stylish, almost melancholic campaign, shot by Craig McDean in New York and Los Angeles.
The actors seem to be photographed mid-motion, with Elgort cutting an orange (and very nicely done at that), Hawke slicing a photograph, Teller writing a little note in the palm of his hand and O’Donnell taking a sip of water. There’s a certain old-world feel to the images, which is fitting considering the seventies-inspired ensembles Miuccia Prada sent down the runway for Spring 2015. The campaign cast spot iconic looks from the collection, including the contrast seam pieces that were the highlight of her collection.
With award season coming up, Prada’s campaign comes at a very good time – Hawke has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Golden Globes, with Teller and O’Connell up for nominations at the BAFTAs and Elgort at the Critics’ Choice Awards.
