Nicknamed the “Silver Arrow of the seas”, the 14 metre yacht will bear many of the hallmark design features of Mercedes-Benz automobiles. This collaboration between Silver Arrows Marine and Mercedes-Benz Style explores a radical new approach to motor yacht functionality and aesthetics.
The yacht will feature car-like electric opening side windows and a glass roof, the forward section of which rises up to create a “glass pergola” effect. Moreover, the roof is made of “smart” glass that automatically controls light penetration depending on the intensity of the sun. The ARROW460-Granturismo’s interior is furnished with premium materials like nubuck leather, eucalyptus wood panelling and synthetic mesh. The spacious interior can accommodate up to 10 people and can be easily transformed into a large dining room or bedroom suite.
The yacht will be powered by two diesel engines developing 480hp each – allowing for a cruising speed of about 28 knots and a top speed in light seas of around 40 knots. The ARROW460-Granturismo will launch initially with an exclusive, limited-edition fully equipped version called Edition 1 which will cost €1.25 million plus VAT.
