Singapore’s Digital Fashion Week is happening in a few short months and shoe label Pedro has created a collaborative initiative appropriately titled Style Personified! After working together with DFW in 2012 where Pedro showcased a select pieces on the runways, this year they’ve decided to partner with two Asia designers famed for their expressive form through their creations; Frederic Sai and L’ILE AUX ASHBY. The two distinct capsule collections is a progression of bold colours taking great inspiration on sharp angular silhouettes, an acute direction for the brand.
The Frederic Sai x Pedro collaboration find themselves concocting two pair of classic oxford shoes that are irrevocably transformed into a contemporary-age art piece. With great hints of modern and metal-plate hardware, the colour palette of the footwear is a mix of contrast between black and brown, further highlighted with yellow and orange in sleek calf leather, ponyhair and fabric. This initiative is a natural progression for Pedro to take the brand in a more current direction, creating aa great distinction for themselves against the grain.
