  • By Men's Folio

Filing a 90-page appeal at a courthouse in Milan, the two designers and their layers strongly denies all allegations of tax evasion and fraud. Fashion designers, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are appealing against their tax evasion convictions which have sentenced them to 20 months in jail.

As the story goes, an Italian court found them guilty of the above charges in the 2004 sale of their company to Gado Srl, a Luxemborg-based company who they say is a front to avoid the taxes in Italy. From the start, the duo have denied all charges and allegations, with their lawyers stating that Dolce and Gabbana are only involved in the creation of the products and image while operations are handled by others.

At press time, the date for an appeal trial has not been set.
