Berluti held a private cocktail reception last night to celebrate the unveiling of Vincent Dubourg’s exclusive pieces at the Berluti Maison during London PAD. Guests from the worlds of fashion and art, VIPs and friends of the brand were able to preview exclusive pieces by Vincent Dubourg in the presence of the designer, over the three floors of Berluti’s recently opened Maison in the heart of Mayfair.
Vincent Dubourg describes his pieces as a fusion of furniture, architecture and sculpture. He works with found objects and conventional furniture or sculptural forms, uses traditional furniture making techniques such as woodbending and metal casting as a means of transforming simple materials. His work strikes a careful balance between the practical and beautiful, creating a dialogue between man and nature, hand-made and mass production.
