Long a staple on London’s fashion scene, Dover Street Market has made its way stateside this Christmas. Housing the best up-and-coming labels as well as the more established luxury houses, the brand list reads like a who’s who of the greatest in the past decade: Comme des Garçons, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Rick Owens, Saint Laurent, Supreme, J.W. Anderson, Visvim and many more.
True to her groundbreaking nature, Kawakubo has allowed the brands to design their own space in the store, creating a mélange of distinctive yet harmonious styles. They have also come up with exclusive collections for the store –Vuitton has teamed up with artist, Terence Koh to come up with a capsule menswear collection of embroidered jackets, while Prada has expressly launched a line of clothes for the store, inspired by the fashion house’s classic shapes and archived prints, under the name Prada Dover Street Market New York.
