S.coups in a Boss hanbok. Jennie in custom Chanel. A long-anticipated Shah Rukh Khan debut complete with a scepter-esque staff. Happy first Monday of May — better known to the public as Met Gala day! Marking the industry’s biggest displays of opulence for the year, the Met Gala is back again for 2025. To honour the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute’s latest exhibit, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, attendees are taking on the theme of “Tailored For You” on their heads… to their toes.
Honouring the spirit and origins of Black dandyism, this year’s attendees pulled off high-fashion homages in high-impact tailoring. To mark his debut at the Met, S.coups of Seventeen — the new Boss ambassador, FYI — was dressed in a hybridised hanbok-suit get-up, honouring his own South Korean culture. Freen Sarocha made history as the first Thai female talent to attend, dressing up to show off her latest ambassadorial appointment with Valentino in a very-Michele suit. Zendaya and her celebrity stylist counterpart Law Roach put on a show in honour of Bianca Jagger’s iconic all-white ensemble for her nuptials. Tailor-made by Louis Vuitton, the Dandy dressings didn’t end there. Also dressed by Pharrell and the house? Blackpink princess and ambassador Lisa, Swamp Princess Doechii, The Bear‘s Jeremy Allen White, rapper Future and more.
Ahead, Men’s Folio rounds up all the stylish standouts from the 2025 Met Gala.
