New Year Rituals Worth Sharing with Bottega Veneta

In a call to make this Chinese New Year as sweet as honey with Bottega Veneta and your loved ones.

This New Year, Bottega Veneta wants you to celebrate. In the new CNY 2026 campaign, instead of focusing on the typical glitzy Chinese New Year celebrations, Bottega Veneta strikes at the heart of the festive season — connection, culture, and self-reflection.

Centred around the joy of shared culture and individual rituals, the campaign features chef Qu Yuyu, Olympic swimming champion Pan Zhanle, actors Yo Yang and Zhang Kang Le, and cinema icon Sylvia Chang.

Inspired by the iconic mandopop song Tian Mi Mi (甜蜜蜜) by Teresa Teng, Bottega’s campaign directed by Dorothia Zhang offers a series of intimate vignettes of each of the featured stars. Whether done in a partnership, as part of a family, or as an individual, each star takes part in a precious New Years ritual.

During each ritual, whether it’s karaoke, buying flowers, or putting on a fresh new outfit, the campaign stars sing sections from Tain Mi Mi. Consequently, it creates the effect of each segment flowing together connected by shared song and spirit. By capturing different people in different situations all singing this song, this heartfelt campaign demonstrates the songs “universal appeal across generations, regions, and perspectives”.

Sharing the song thus becomes a ritual and tradition in and of itself. As a result, it shows how Tian Mi Mi‘s nostalgic tune and sweet lyrics has the power to bring people together.

Teresa Teng’s iconic song was also the inspiration for the romantic drama starring Maggie Cheung and Leon Lai, Almost a Love Story (1996). A scene from the movie shows Cheung and Lai singing Tian Mi Mi while bike riding through Hong Kong; the vignette starring Yo Yang and Melinda Wang is an homage to this touching moment.

As for the collection itself, it also stays away from showiness in favour of the core values of Bottega Veneta, which are timeless craft, individual expression, and the beauty of artistic encounters. It includes jewellery featuring minimalist horse motifs and classic Intrecciato bag designs, including one that features a traditional red knot detail for subtle CNY festivity.
