From 5.00am CEO morning routines to every imaginable life hack, we have cultivated a culture increasingly obsessed with routine; to value productivity above all else. We measure virtue in discipline and predictability. Somewhere along the way, we forget that our progress once came from instinct; that life, at its highs, often came from the improvised. Ferragamo is asking us to peer into the cracks. The house’s ‘Legends, Reimagined’ project seeks to honour its legacy of refined craft in this orbit of spontaneity — a kind of tradition that looks forward — to occupy a space that serves not to disturb patterns, but to soften them. Its centre spotlights the Tramezza shoe, born of over 160 finely artisanal steps, yet defined by spirit over mere precision. It is a testament to Italian craftsmanship that above endurance, responds.
This dynamic grace is epitomised by the house’s partnership with Alberto Tomba, a natural commander of the slopes. In pursuit of mastery, he protests choreography and in pursuit of control, he channels play. The project captures Tomba in a serene manner, a kind of mundanity that can only exist in relativity to the meticulously disruptive prowess that propels him down Alpine hills. Ferragamo finds a familiar energy — such that bursts of energy are far from reckless, but swaying to an intuitive rhythm — and like Tomba’s skiing, the Tramezza strikes this balanced chord.

Beneath a polished exterior, the shoe’s Tramezza leather layer and steel shank provide structure, but not one of rigidity. Designed to absorb impact, movement here is not dictated; it is enabled and receptive. This romance of excellence and spontaneity extends into the Tramezza Atelier, where the Ferragamo craft becomes both experience and gentle instruction. The made-to-order event at The Wilde is where light, sound, scent, and material converge — with delicately selected leathers from alligator, ostrich and hand-finished calfskin — to create a customised service that thrives in the gaps within convention. This immersion into the house’s Tramezza universe invites a bespoke experience to be remembered, as wearers immortalise their initials into the soles and claim authorship within tradition.
Consistency brings about meaning only when it leaves room for impulse. ‘Legends, Reimagined’ does not reject energy that presents itself structured, but reignites it. In a generation that prizes control, Ferragamo proposes that the most sustaining forms of charge are those that remain directional; that remain composed when the plan dissolves, and with a hand closely intact but reaches for the hills.
