#ManCrushMonday — TXT Yeonjun Elevates the Everyday Singlet
No matter the moniker you give them — muscle tees, wife beaters (maybe, don’t), or singlets — the picture of TXT Yeonju above is proof of the power of the tank top, our preferred name for the building block of a wardrobe. While they’ve become the bedrock of a Gen Z’ers wardrobe (just add a Vivienne Westwood pearl necklace) or been vamped up in a ’90s Lang way, the classics have been so for over 90 years solely because of one reason: there are so many ways you can twist it.

In a more perfunctory sartorial sense, they can be worn as a sweat-stain absorbing undershirt or you can be a Pitti peacock who wears them on their own and tucked into a pair of slouchy pants. You can go full Al Capone and wear them under a Hawaiian shirt with a gold chain or as a piece that subdues the solemness of a suit. Or you can go hardcore Capital F like Yeonju above: a simple piece (make sure it’s ribbed) that elevates everything else you’re wearing.

If you’re wondering, however, what makes Yeonju fit so fire then think back to what made the tank top so great. It’s simple, practical, somewhat sensual in its look and most importantly, doesn’t victimise its wearer. It’s non-decorative in a way that allows its wearer to decorate himself at the same time and frankly, that’s a proposition that works for most of us. And as for the bag in case you’re also wondering? It’s the Celine large zipped belt bag trekking in nylon.
