Eddie Redmayne made quite the bold style statement at the world premiere of Les Misérables in London, oozing boyish swank and rakish confidence in a very on-trend emerald notched lapel velvet suit. Seen under the warm orange glare of Odeon Leicester Square, Eddie’s dark green Burberry Prorsum Fall 2012 ensemble was almost neon in its electrifying flashes of color with every slight swivel of his body.
What could have been laughably theatrical in its ostentation was saved by the skinny fit, contemporary grey tie and well, the sheer charisma of the wearer. We like how Eddie kept things quite literally down-to-earth with his scruffy brown lace-ups, a nice contrast to the spectacular jewel tones of his suit. Oh, and it couldn’t have hurt that Eddie happens to be a redhead: green is an amazing complement to the freckled pale complexion of gingers in general. Excellent choice: an all-round red carpet winner.
