A New Sound Manifests at the Inaugural Edition of Hypebeast Live

  • By Charmaine Tan

Hypebeast Live, a music initiative by Hypebeast, brings the beating heart of the dance floor to TRIFECTA Singapore and Somerset Skate Park.

Whether this increased desire to party is a result of post-pandemic liberation or a mere return of normalcy, it’s clear that Singapore has become quite the hotbed for new music hangouts, initiations and immersive experiences, whether founded locally or brought in from overseas. To add to this growing list is another exciting get-together for music-lovers, happening for the first time in our little red dot — Hypebeast Live, a physical extension of the contemporary culture and lifestyle platform, that curates an audible feast provided by an electric list of creatives.

Taking place on 23 March at TRIFECTA SINGAPORE and Somerset Skate Park, the full-evening event will showcase local and regional lineups of music performances, an art presentation, exclusive drops and culinary experiences. Transforming the Somerset Skate Park into a music platform, Hypebeast Live will be headlined by Autograf — an electronic dance music group from Chicago presented by HighHouse — who has brought their effervescent house music to Coachella, Lollapalooza, EDC LasVegas and EDC Korea, and now, Singapore.

The energy continues with DJ performances presented by Sivilian Affairs, including Nicolette, HBN, Sivanesh, TropicLab, and DONN. The music performances will be live-streamed on the official Hypebeast Youtube for those who aren’t in town to groove along, having access to an exclusive virtual front row to the shows.

Beyond live music performances, concert participants will also get to immerse themselves in a live art performance by urban artist and illustrator, Clogtwo, at TRIFECTA SINGAPORE. The artist will curate a large mural artwork called “Canvas” on-site, where guests can watch live as the artistic concept takes shape from basic sketches to a colourful finished work. A limited quantity of an exclusive T-shirts designed by Clogtwo will also be available for giveaway, with details to be released in due time.

A series of pop-up stores will also take place, featuring curated brands such as Asics, Don Julio, Guinness, Häagen-Dazs, Johnnie Walker, Tanqueray, Rip Curl and more, before the night culminates with an intimate afterparty at HighHouse — Singapore’s new go-to nightlife and culinary hotspot. Ticket holders of Hypebeast Live have complimentary access to HighHouse, so don’t miss out on a chance to get high on a second dose of Autograf’s auditory magic .
