The Design Superposition Exhibition Contemplates the True Value of DesignThe Design Superposition is an exhibition at the National Design Centre contemplating the true value of design.

Through a series of mediums —illustration, architecture with Feng Shui principles, industrial design, science and technology, fashion, digital media, visual art, and nature — that one might already be familiar with, the Design Superposition (the latter word in its name refers to how the former seems to be everything, yet also nothing) exhibition gathers 10 local and international creatives to keep the crowd curious and handsy as they explain and elucidate the works themselves.

Organised by the DesignSingapore Associates Network, the exhibition is in curator Yeo Ker Siang’s words, “about the production of design culture and industry, and a reflection of whether design is valuable or not”. A sentiment reflected by Emily Ong, the DeputyExecutive director of DesignSingapore Council, “Design Superposition is about using design to contemplate its value and purpose for the society. Beyond exploring the meaning of design, this showcase is a wonderful opportunity for our next generation of design leaders to collaborate, express their creative talent, and push boundaries.”
