One of the best concealers for men is none other than the Dior Backstage Face & Body Flash Perfector, one that covers anything on one’s face or his body.
For the longest time, makeup artists had two ways of concealing imperfections on the body. The first way? They could use a heavy-coverage concealer and powder it profusely to set because a model moves his ligaments more than the muscles on his face. The other way? Well, they’d just ask the photographer to Photoshop it off. No shame to them because after all, technology is magic. What makes these group of concealers the best for men? Think high coverage, incredible staying power and most importantly, they set themselves to prevent smudging or transfer.

It also dries down to a matte finish that does not budge even when you perspire profusely or get caught in the rain. Its handy size can even fit itself into the smallest of pouches starting from an A6 sized one.
While Anastasia Beverly Hills technically calls their Magic Touch Concealer a product that provides medium to full coverage, the amino acid-coated pigments used within its formula performs beautifully everywhere else on one’s body too: immediate adhesion that does not transfer and easy blendability. In fact, I think it’s best you don’t set it with powder as ironically, I think it makes the finish of it look fake.
It’s virtually impossible to do a “Best Concealers for Men” story without mention of the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch concealer, a product that is akin to the Spot Healing Brush tool on Photoshop. In fact, I’ve worn this for 18 hours before on my legs (that’s a story for another time), went diving in the sea and partied for seven hours with very mild fading.
The genius of the Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer is that one small dab of it conceals everything. And by everything, I mean even tattoos or deeply pigmented birth marks. The concealer is even crease-proof (trick: to test if a product really is, apply it in the crook of your elbow and bend it to see how it holds up) and waterproof. Removing it however, takes quite some time owing to how heavily pigmented it is.
How do you know if a concealer works even on the body? Just look out for the two magic words: waterproof. While the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer eradicates any imperfections for up to 24 hours, its strength tapers off around the 12th hour mark if you’re particularly oil on the face and on your body. But sweatproof and water resistant it is and you trust me, I wore this while watching Blue Jay on Netflix.
Millenials would remember the chokehold that the M.A.C Cosmetics Pro Longwear Concealer had on them in the early 2000’s: a product that came in a fluid format that could provide high coverage without the “weight” on one’s skin. While the brand has focused its shift on the Studio Fix series, I highly recommend giving the Pro Longwear series a go if you want high coverage for any discolouration you have. PS: the foundation from the series comes with a pump.
While specifically created for concealing darkness under the eyes, the Sisley Phyto-Cernes Eclat Eye Concealer works best on men too for things like “shadows” above the lips or mild discolouration on the neck, hands or arms. I’m chalking it up to the somewhat orange-tint the product has but if you do opt to only use it for the eyes, its metal massage tip is cooling to the touch and the brush that comes with it allows for very precise application.
