Turns Out, the Benefits of Using Ferulic Acid Outweighs the Bad
The latest newcomer to enter the arena of what benefits ferulic acid can do for you: the Kiehl’s Ferulic Brew Rejuvenating Facial Essence.

Ferulic acid sounds kind of freaky. The first word in the phrase suggests some kind of violence (ahh!) and the second, some kind of Death Becomes Her accident (ahhhh!!!). Well technically, ferulic acid is an acid but not the chemically-exfoliating kind like its siblings. Ferulic Acid’s main function and one of its benefits is to act as an antioxidant to reverse the damage you’re constantly doing to it: damage done by UV light, pigmentation from pollution and basically, counteracting ageing itself.

However, another one of the benefits from ferulic acid is that it acts like a “booster” of sorts for whatever you’re already using. It increases the efficacy of products like Vitamin C and E but like the former vitamin, breaks down quickly when exposed to light or air. Sure, these products here are generally tolerable for all skin types but like most stories we write, do a patch test first.

Is it a toner or a lotion? Well, it depends on how you decide to use it but whatever the method, the ferulic acid in this watery-essence works in tandem with lactic acid to gently reverse signs of damage while squalene pumps moisture back in.

Peter Thomas Roth Potent-C Power Eye Cream
One of the key ingredients that makes this eye cream that damn potent is a form of Vitamin C that is 50 times more potent that its traditional form. The ferulic acid used inside isn’t too shabby either as it boosts the power of said vitamin while caffeine and Phycoderm reduces puffiness and the look of crows feet.

Skinceuticals CE Ferulic
One of the latest launched products to really harness the benefits of ferulic acid is this serum itself, one that even reduces the damage down by diesel engine exhaust. The inclusion of a high level of Vitamin C and E also works to target the loss of firmness as you age.
