What makes some of these local or global creatives tick? In this weekly column, stylist Glenn Goh shares his favourite things.
Pictured above: 1. Skincare: I am all about good skin goals. Having a suitable skincare routine can go a long way. I’ve been taking very good care of my skin since my earlier 20s and p.s., using a facial mask everyday is a must.

2. Fashion Designing: Although I am a fashion stylist, I am actually a fashion design graduate and I occasionally still design my own pieces from time to time. As my first love, fashion design definitely weighs more than styling in my heart.
—
3. Juun.J: I am here for anything Juun.J really (this image is from his Spring Summer 2021 campaign). I love the way he plays around with silhouettes, proportions and different materials — especially for his menswear.
—
4. Nail Art: Interestingly addictive. I started getting my nails done in 2019 after getting inspired by ASAP Rocky and for me, it’s just another method of self-expression. The way they are painted is dependant on how or what I am feeling in that moment and I feel happy just from looking at them.
—
5. Makeup: Makeup for me is the art of enhancement and it’s been difficult finding the best products for a natural finish look. But, I think I have found my favourites.
—
6. Spaces: I like to look at architecture designs (photo credit of the one above: @robertstilin) and especially when there is a clever use of interior space construction. They inspire me when I style or art direct my shoots. I think it’s very important because the set gives the subject a sense of mood to be in.
—
7. Androgyny: I think a man showing his feminine side should be celebrated because of the courage involved and we shouldn’t conform to toxic societal expectations on masculinity.
—
8. Gaming: Fun fact, I’m secretly obsessed with gaming and I love playing MMORPGs the most. It is relaxing and challenging at the same time.
—
9. Family: There’re always ups and downs in life but the one thing you can always rely on is family. They are who I’m thinking of whenever I am lost.
