The Grooming Editor Approved Products of May 2021
What happens when you sit a horde of beauty and grooming editors band together? Firstly, we have the inhuman physical capacity to drink a lot. Secondly, we can gush all night about beauty or grooming editor-approved products; the kind of products that we’ve received and really love. In more extreme cases, they are the kind on our list of products we don’t mind being marooned on an island with.

While every week brings about different drops ( kind of like cryptocurrency), here, seven of the month’s which I feel are as relevant to what a man needs today as they are practical in packaging and price.

Pictured Above: Acqua di Parma Bergamotto di Calabria La Spugnatura.
The fresh juiciness of bergamot at the opening (and much more so than any of its Blu Meditarraneo siblings) and intense greenness of geranium — the longevity and sillage of this parfum is crazy. In fact, I even highly recommend spraying it on your jackets if you want all day freshness. Bonus points to the packaging too: its been manually decorated with white and gold bergamot shapes.

One of the most exciting grooming editor-approved products is Byredo Open Sky: spicy black pepper, woody palo santo and heady vetiver. It’ll make you feel like you’re forest bathing somewhere in Norway which considering how land locked we are, is very much appreciated.

The iconic Dior Lip Glow now contains cherry oil to deliver an intensely hydrating finish for 24 hours. If you happen to puff on cancer sticks too, it fills in fine lines without looking overtly glossy or imparting a lipstick like colour. It can even be used on your cuticles if they’re growing astray — I even enjoy using it as an “eyebrow smoothing” stick because of its non-sticky wax like texture.

No redness, sensitation or peeling — the ést.lab LumiWhite 10% PHA Resurfacing Glow Serum is one of the gentlest ways to chemically exfoliate your skin. And this, is one of the reason it’s part of the grooming editor-approved products list — it visibly lightened some of my post-acne scarring within just three uses. Quite a considerable feat for how little I needed.

The SPHR™️ technology in Heure’s Ageless Serum means that ingredients like peptides are able to sink deeper within your skin. Seven days are all you need to see remarkably smoother and more glowing skin — simply pop the top off the applicator and squeeze some drops into your hands. It can even be used day or night which means you’re going to want to stockpile this while you can.

It didn’t get rid of bad vibes or annoying texts from upper management but the Kiehl’s Jinx Removing Essence Oil is lovely when diffused in my room and even lovelier in the showers; simply sprinkle some drops on the tiles and let the hot steam diffuse the scent as you get about with what you need to do.

How can you use one of the most exciting grooming editor approved-products — the Olehenriksen Cold Plunge Pore Remedy Moisturizer? We recommend sticking it in the fridge prior to use for after-sun soothing or if your skin is feeling particularly dry or irritated. The latter, if you’ve applied a little too much chemicals like AHAs or BHAs.
