2014 is when the world will get World Cup fever again, Happening in Brazil, their official timekeeper Hublot, has released the watch where all timepiece enthusiasts will want to have. Also Known as the “Soccer Bang”, the Big Bang Unico Chrono Bi Retrograde display is built around the timing of half of a soccer match (45 minutes). A smaller-sized dial at 6 o’clock keeps time for traditional uses when off field.
More than just a watch for the fans, the self-winding HUB 1260 movement is specially designed for referees and players, allowing the wearer to time 15-minute increments.
Black with a matte satin finish, the dial of the Big Bang Unico Chrono Bi-Retrograde features yellow and green details, referencing and acknowledging Brazail as the 2014 World Cup’s host country. The minutes retrograde display and hand are yellow, while the seconds retrograde display and hand are green. This special edition watch comes with a black textured rubber strap and a black titanium PVD folding clasp.
As with every special event, Hublot has introduced two versions, both limited editions. One of which is the King Gold 18K, produced in a limited edition of 100 watches, while the black ceramic version will have 200 pieces produced.
