Rimowa, purveyor of luxury travel accessories launched an exhibition commemorating the brand’s illustrious 117-year history. Aptly called “A Journey Through Time”, Rimowa takes us to the past with the display of well-maintained pieces of luggage that have lasted through the ages, dating from the roaring 20s to the vibrant 80s. From now till 26 April, the Mandarin Gallery and Marina Bay Sands stores will be transformed into a time capsule, encapsulating the design innovation and leadership of the RIMOWA legacy. Each case will tell a story of the brand’s design progression and craftsmanship, from the early suitcases made from wood and leather to the introduction of the first aluminium suitcase with grooves. The showcase will highlight the vintage allure juxtaposed against the modern design of the newer RIMOWA lines.
