Groundbreaking and controversial at its release in 1992, and still influential 30 years on, Sex contains timeless images captured through the lens of Steven Meisel and text written by Madonna herself. Saint Laurent Rive Droite will feature large-scale images from the re-issued book, as curated by the singer and Anthony Vaccarello, in a beachfront box built especially for the Miami leg of the contemporary art show.

Prints from Sex will also be blown up and on display during the event, as a tribute to the book’s lasting influence and radical approach to sexual self-expression. Saint Laurent for Anthony Vaccarello’s exclusive re-issue of the book will be in a special run of 800 copies, published by Callaway, New York.

A limited number of copies signed by Madonna will be available via an auction in the coming months, the proceeds of which will go to Madonna’s charity Raising Malawi.

The Saint Laurent beachfront gallery will be free to visit for anyone over the age of 18 from 29 November to 4 December, from 10 am to 7 pm. This story also first appeared on L’officiel Singapore.
