Storytelling: As a creator and entertainer, the greatest passion I have lies within storytelling and being able to package the most engaging content for my viewers, be it in the form of a vlog or even creating the theme for my clothing launches.

Here’s a little sneak peak of a render from my upcoming clothing launch animation, an exclusive teaser for Men’s Folio!

Here are some photos of a collaboration I did with local artist @tobyato, and it was a collection that did really well and had very positive feedback from my viewers!

3. Music: Music is definitely a crucial influence to my creative process, and a lot of my works are inspired by songs that I listen to. My taste in music is really broad — I enjoy anything from pop, hip hop, K-pop, R&B, classical, jazz, and even deep focus music like lofi etc — you name it.

Recently I have been in a rock and roll and country music phase, heavily inspired by Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis the movie!

Fashion:  I first got into streetwear during the 2000’s “Hypebeast” era, and even conceptualised my own clothing brand MAGO™️ in 2015. Fast forward to today, I have finally graduated and with the help of my YouTube reach, I am finally able to start my own clothing line and it has quickly evolved to one of my biggest creative passions once again.

#TheObsessions: Content Creator Daniel Tamago Shares His Favourite ThingsThe picture above is a throwback to one of my earlier launches when I started to take the brand seriously (with my new partner, Darren Chan), and the picture below is a throwback to a recent launch I did this year. I’m immensely grateful to my community for the support on my brand and am looking to scale the label to greater heights.

Fitness: I have been working out consistently close to 6 days a week for the past 4/5 years, and it is a non-negotiable daily habit I do to keep the creative juices flowing! It’s easy to overwork your body by working long hours in the creative industry, so health and fitness is one thing that is extremely important to my lifestyle!

Travel: My journey in content creation began when I vlogged a trip with my friends to Bali in 2015, and I’m thankful that the borders have opened this year for us to travel again! Safe to say, I have been travelling a lot this year, and I can safely say that travelling is one of the best ways to broaden your perspective on life and bring new flavours into your content creation process!

Friends: As a lifestyle creator, I get inspired a lot just by hanging out with my friends and loved ones, which is something I definitely do not take for granted of! A huge reason as to why I started my career as a creator is to document my life experiences with my friends, so that one day I can look back when I’m old and reminisce the good old memories. It would be super cool to show my future kids my life journey as well!

This year I invested in renting a studio space for myself and my team, as a creative space for work and collaborations. A mantra I always go by is “a clean desk, a clear mind”, and I always try to keep my space minimalist and tidy (the messy wires in the back belong to my videographer haha). Do check out my office tour video on YouTube if you’re interested to see my space!
