The luxury Italian menswear brand Canali has just announced the conclusion of its collaboration with the designer Andrea Pompilio. This partnership began March 2014 where Pompilio was taken as a Creative Consultant for the brand. We’re not exactly sure whether that job role has the same weight as a Creative Director, but that definitely places Canali in the round-table of brands with designer departures that’s been going on lately.
Canali revealed that the decision to part ways was reciprocal, and came with the natural expiration of the agreement made with the designer. With two years and four collections, Pompilio has consistently evolved the aesthetic of the brand as a whole. Canali has its next runway show planned up in June for Milan Fashion Week, and that collection has been developed by the brand’s in-house design and product teams.
