The Latest TAG Heuer Watch Is a Technicolour DreamThe new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Polychrome is a play on contrast and colour.

Considered the premier complication model in the TAG Heuer Carrera collection, the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon welcomes a stunning jolt of colour, in the form of the new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Polychrome. Available in a limited edition of 150 pieces, this latest timepiece is an audaciously modern expression of the manufacture’s watchmaking expertise and heritage in auto racing, as well as its focus on innovation, high performance, and aesthetic perfection.

With its design based on the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Nanograph from 2019 — specifically the case, bezel and strap — the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Polychrome builds on the moody, enigmatic appeal of its predecessor with a bold multicoloured approach. But more than just a pretty face, the timepiece is decked with a rainbow skeletonised dial created with some of the most technically sophisticated methods.

The Latest TAG Heuer Watch Is a Technicolour DreamThe mesmerising colour gradient is achieved through vacuum PVD treatment, created in partnership with the La Chaux-de-Fonds–headquartered Positive Coating, which is the world’s only supplier of this demanding finish, and the growth process deposits metallic oxides in thin transparent layers, with variations on the scale of mere nanometers.

Showcasing the classic tri-compax layout seen in the TAG Heuer Carrera family, the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Polychrome features rhodiumplated blue chronograph sub-counters at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock, and a multicoloured tourbillon at 6 o’clock, as well as a black flange with 60 second/minute scale. Rhodium-plated applied indices and hour and minute hands enhanced with Super-LumiNova improve legibility.

The dial is encircled by a fixed carbon tachymeter bezel, and protected by a sapphire caseback and a domed, bevelled sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment. Ultra-lightweight and resistant fine brushed black PVD grade 5 titanium forms the 45-mm all-black case, while the in-house Calibre Heuer 02T COSC chronograph tourbillon movement beats within, supported by 80 hours of power reserve. Completing the look is a matt black alligator leather strap with rubber lining.
