As a worldwide partner of equestrian sports, Longines is no stranger to the Royal Meeting at Ascot. The prestigious sporting event is characterised by English sartorial elegance and thoroughbred racing, and after celebrating its ten-year partnership with the Berkshire racecourse in 2016, Longines now announces the renewal of its longstanding designation as Official Timekeeper and Watch by becoming an Official Partner of Ascot. The elevated profile also includes stalls branding on Wednesdays.
To mark the occasion, Longines welcomes its Ambassador of Elegance Eddie Peng to experience the Royal Ascot’s unique atmosphere. After the remarkable victory of Kew Gardens in the Queen’s Vase race, Peng took part in the trophy presentation to the winning owners and jockey. The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall also rewarded the winning connections of Poet’s Word with the brand’s timepieces as well.
Longines highlights the Record collection as the Official Watch of the event, a line whose classic elegance and excellence matches with the refinement of the Royal Meeting. The Record’s automatic movements utilises silicon balance springs and are certified “chronometer” by COSC.
