Diving For Gold With The Panerai Luminor Due TuttoOroFor the first time ever, Panerai offers a full Goldtech bracelet on a watch with the Luminor Due TuttoOro.

Officine Panerai has long been the master of blending sportiness with elegance. Their watches are mostly oversized and chunky, and yet somehow, they can still work well with a smart casual outfit. This time however, Panerai has decided to ramp up the luxury element of their Luminor collection offering a beautiful piece in their Panerai Goldtech material, and for the first time ever, they are pairing this watch with gold bracelets as well.

The debut of Panerai’s first gold bracelets comes in their Luminor Due collection, which is the more elegant version of the signature Luminor case. Where most Luminor watches come with cases around the 40 to 44mm mark, this Luminor Due TuttoOro measures 38mm in diameter. For us Asians who typically have smaller wrists, the 38mm actually sits fantastically on the wrist regardless of gender.

The copper gives the precious metal its warm and deep red tone while the platinum ensures that the colour will remain radiant even with prolonged use. In true Panerai fashion, this gold bracelet offers links that replicate the profile of the renowned crown protection device. Adding a sense of dimension to the bracelet, these links offer a brushed finish while the rectangular segment between them has been mirror polished.

As is typical with the Luminor collection, this Luminor Due also comes with a sandwich dial construction. This adds a level of dimensionality to the dial as the recesses cut into the sunburst pattern, and display a great interaction with light and shadow to make the hour indices stand out. And for those who value attention to detail, even the small seconds subdial has its quarterly indicators cut out. Due to the more elegant and thinner construction of the Luminor Due case, the watch is only water resistant to 30m, but that did not stop Panerai from giving it the signature crown guard that has become an icon of the brand.

Beneath the dial, you’ll find Panerai’s Automatic Calibre P.900. This fantastic movement is only 4.2mm thick, allowing the Luminor Due TuttoOro to remain relatively slim on the wrist. It is the first Panerai movement of its size to combine the date function with a three-day power reserve.
