American icons Tommy Hilfiger and Disney come together to present a collection of iconic prep classics with a manga twist, as seen on Benjamin Kheng.
In an ode to a century of Disney magic and dream-filled childhoods, Tommy Hilfiger has come together with the mega production conglomerate to produce a special capsule collection that celebrates Walt Disney’s legacy, embellishing a series of college prep silhouettes with Mickey, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck — all drawn in manga style.
As seen on the charismatic multi-hyphenate Benjamin Kheng, the Disney x Tommy collection is designed with careful craftsmanship and thoughtful details, reimagining signature rugby shirts and chinos adorned with playful patterns, combining jacquard prints of a reinvented TH Monogram with Mickey’s unmistakable silhouette. The character also appears on the signature Ithaca stripe of shirts and shirt dresses, while all-over prints nod to the original craft of Disney artists with ink blots and hand-drawn sketches.
“An iconic anniversary, an iconic brand, and a collaboration with their most iconic characters – there is no better way to join fans around the world in celebrating Disney’s 100th anniversary,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “Colliding Mickey and Friends with the Tommy Hilfiger brand DNA has been one of our most fun collaborations to date. It’s a collectable edition of our favourite prep classics.”
Staying true to Mickey’s fun-loving nature, the collection includes 50 styles across menswear and womenswear and 10 styles for kidswear, all sporting Mickey and his friends in Manga form. There’s nothing more quintessentially American than a combination of this classic in style and attitude — the timeless magic of this pairing will be sure to last a long lifetime.
