This Week in Collabs: See Both Sides With Stüssy, Vans, Puma and More

  • By Lance Aeron

A new week of collab deep-dives have proven that two is better than one. Here’s why.

This week in collaborations is about being in pairs in concept and in brand.

Puma is embracing secondcomings with collaborations featuring both Rihanna and Noah, while Vans is blending signatures with new styles through partnerships with Hockey and Hirotton. And over at Stüssy, the streetwear brand collaborated with Dover Street Market London and, Better Gift shop to create graphic-heavy collections. We’re clearly seeing doubles here and even more below.

1. Stüssy X Dover Street Market

It’s no surprise that Stüssy has mastered the art of collaboration over the years, whether it’s the iconic Stüssy X Talking Heads or the innovative Stüssy X Tekla. They know how to keep all of their followers satisfied. In this spirit, the label reunites with DSM London to offer a range of shirts, hoodies, and crewnecks, all infused with the distinctive Stüssy style, adorned with their signature branding, collaborative motifs, and intricate graphics.

Stüssy X DSM London is available for purchase online  from September 15.

2. Stüssy X Better Gift Shop

Continuing Stüssy’s collaboration streak, the brand teamed up with Toronto-based brand, Better Gift Shop, backdropped against a rustic workshop, to release a line of co-branded t-shirts, caps, and even an ashtray to pay a graphic homage to the iconic Stüssy and Better Gift Shop monikers.

Stüssy X Better Gift Shop is available for purchase online from September 15.

3. Puma X Fenty

With the creative director back at the helm, Puma x Fenty is making a comeback. The storied duo introduced their first comeback product, the Avanti, a football-inspired sneaker that blends PUMA’s flagship King boot with the Easy Rider runner, all infused with the multifaceted singer’s feminine touch.

Puma x Fenty Avanti is available for purchase online from September 15.

4. Puma x Noah

The New York-based label reunites with Puma for their second collaboration. Both brands embrace vintage sportswear styles in this round, channeling distinctive East Coast vibes with on-court references. The collection is marked by a subtle vibrancy, featuring delicate shades of greys, cream, and vintage-inspired green accents.

Puma x Noah is available for purchase online and selected retailers from September 21

5. Vans x Hirotton

Vans joined forces with Japanese illustrator and artist Hiroyuki Uemura, known as Hirotton. This collaborative capsule showcases the artist’s unique work on two of Vans’ iconic silhouettes – the Sk8-Hi and Authentics featuring the artist’s signature illustrative motifs. The collection creates a fusion reminiscent of 19th-century Japanese woodblock triptychs blended with punk rock graphics.

Vans x Hirotton is only available at the Vans store in Harajuku from 16 September.

6. Vans x Hockey

Hockey and Vans unite once again for a Fall 2023 collection. This collection plays on three distinct styles of Vans’ iconic footwear – the Skate Old Skool, Skate Slip-On, and Skate Authentic Hi. Adorning them with snakeskin patterns, Hockey’s signature red logo and insoles that enhance comfort and energy return, these shoes are fit for any occasion.

Vans x Hockey is available for purchase online from September 14.

7. Palace x Carhartt WIP

The last instalment in Palace’s fall 2023 collection stars the American workwear label, Carhartt WIP. The duo crafted a collection based off of the workwear label’s signature silhouettes, Embroidering the pieces with reinterpretations of Carhartt WIP’s signature branding – replacing the Carhartt text on both the neck tag and the ‘C’ patch with a ‘Palace’. It’s a bold statement for their inaugural collaboration.

Palace x Carhartt WIP is available for purchase online and in-stores  from September 15

8. Marc Jacobs x Dr. Martens

Marc Jacobs celebrates the 10th anniversary of Dr. Martens’ iconic Jadon boots with a twist. The Jadons now feature chains and pendants hanging from their glossy leather throats, adorned with keys, locks, hearts, and eye charms. These unique additions are brought to life by experimental artist Yves Tumor as he is seen photographed stomping in the streets of New york.

Dr Martens x Marc Jacobs is available for purchase online and in-stores  from September 15.

9. Market x Guess Originals

MARKET pays homage to the vibrant spirit of the 80s by centering GUESS’ beloved mascot, Foxy, as the star of this collaboration.
