The Best Dressed at the COMME des GARÇONS SS25 Collection Private Preview

The three individuals that came in their best Comme ‘fits at the COMME des GARÇONS Spring Summer 2025 collections.

Who will win a game of best dressed when the expectation is to defy what it means to dress?

Earlier in February, Club21 organised a private preview to celebrate the release of the COMME des GARÇONS Spring Summer 2025 collections. Aside from the opportunity to view the newest release of the brands’ multi-labels, ranging from COMME des GARÇONS Homme Plus, COMME des GARÇONS Girl to COMME des GARÇONS Shirt, guests were encouraged to Comme in their best fit. Men’s Folio was present that afternoon to document the best dressed in the boutique. The three individuals, who are undoubtedly avid collectors of the brand, share what it means to love COMME des GARÇONS in their own unique ways.

First Place: Rosario Espinola

What is the most treasured piece of COMME des GARÇONS item you own?
My most treasured piece is a top from Fall Winter 2010. It’s a long-sleeved top with outcrops of padding placed on the chest — a bit of an ode to her iconic collection Spring Summer 1997 “Body Meets Dress, Dress Meets Body”.

First Runner-up: Sean Siong

What do you love about COMME des GARÇONS?
COMME des GARÇONS clothes are very personal and insular — it’s never about wearing them to impress others or show off — you wear them for yourself.

Second Runner-up: Kit Ang

Was there a COMME des GARÇONS collection that particularly stood out to you?
The COMME des GARÇONS Spring Summer 2012 Ready-to-Wear. It was Rei Kawakubo’s all-white collection. White is the universal colour for birth, marriage, death and transcendence. I loved the exaggerated volume, the headdresses, the floral patterns and the caged crinoline, even the overall runway set.
