Puma partners up with beloved Nickelodeon series SpongeBob SquarePants for a fun and colourful collaboration fit for summer.
When the summer months draw near, the clothes we wear get as vibrant and excited as we do. It’s scientifically proven that amping up the saturation of the things we see around us boosts moods, but even if you aren’t going to read the explanation and stats about it, Puma’s latest collaborative collection with the guy who lives in the pineapple under the sea more than proves my point.
Teaming up with the goofy and well-loved Nickelodeon SpongeBob SquarePants, Puma releases a collection of classic apparel and shoes for both adults and kids that incorporates floral prints, sunny colours and a select few pieces that feature the main character and bestie Patrick Star on a jellyfishing adventure.
In particular, the collection presents a special suite of Puma sneakers that see classic silhouettes like the Suede, Slipstream, RS-Slide, Future Rifer and more elevated with different degrees of bright yellow and blue splashes , the details all riffing off of the iconic character and Bikini Bottom’s recognisable colour palette. The detailing also adds his spongy holes into the design, while Patrick gets his own rendition of the Rider FV in pink.
For the apparels in this collection, expect to see tracksuits, essential T-shirts and hoodies to complement the fun footwear. But if you are not one to don these full outfits so readily, spare a thought for the collection’s bucket hat and utility pouch too — a sure way to add a playful punch into your casual wardrobe without going to over the top. What’s there not to love about SpongeBob and his golly giggles?
