Gentle Monster and Chinese star Cai Xu Kun rework signature eyewear silhouettes in a new collaboration.
Gentle Monster has always been big on collaborative projects that expand and broaden the scope of artists, and their latest guest creative is Cai Xu Kun or KUN, who gets on board in a cool, Matrix-esque collaboration as the director and campaign model.
Futuristic and with a stylish take on the secret agent concept, the collaboration presents four sunglasses embellished with the collection’s signature crystal details. The brand’s signature silhouette “0001” now features a spinning “KUN” logo on its temples, while the “0002” flaunts a bold crystal “KUN” logo. The “0003” now also has an added sophisticated ring detail on the temples,
To commemorate the collaboration, Gentle Monster will launch the GENTLE MONSTER CRYSTAL CLEAR app on April 21 on all Apple and Google Play stores — this extends the futuristic world introduced by the collection, inviting players to become secret agents that help KUN on covert missions. Each week for three consecutive weeks after the app’s launch, the top ten ranking players will receive a special prize: a special secret agent package containing secret agent items and the four pieces of the GENTLE MONSTER X KUN eyewear collection.
