For Brunello Cucinelli’s SS26 collection, it was all about one thing: ease of wear, delightfully combined with precision tailoring. ‘Masculine elegance’, as the brand describes, is now redefined in new terms; freedom and nonchalance, or for a better word, the spirit of sprezzatura, the art of effortless grace.

This season, the focus was more on flowing, relaxed silhouettes and a select choice of materials that emphasise tactility while still maintaining the luxurious status quo. Wool, silk and linen form the majority of the collection, and have produced everything from your classic trench coat to your casual two-piece suits. This harmonious combination travels over to the choice of colours. Silent protagonists, as Brunello Cucinelli describes the primary colours of the collection, are coral reds, oranges, and royal blues, that are balanced out with your classic whites, beiges and elegant neutrals. 

The collection emphasises lightness as one of the main components of their SS26 manifesto. Inspired by styles of the 90’s, traditional dress codes are softened. Blazers get longer cuts, and trousers are relaxed yet structured. Outerwears are designed with mobility and embraces natural movement. Lightweight coats are made in comfortable silk, knitwear is light and unassuming, and unstructured collars are the definitive feature of the new shirting options. 

Shoes like derbies, loafers, and sneakers are now stripped down for a summer-ready comfort. Bags and belts come in a soft, light-toned leather finish that suggests subtle wealth. The energy of the clothing is nothing exactly groundbreaking, but refinement and revision take equal precedence if boundaries are going to be pushed and redefined. The Brunello Cucinelli man now balances the past and present, and it’s this quiet mastery that reveals a man focused on detail, making style appear effortless.
