The Best of ATEEZ Fashion

  • By Vanessa Grace Ng

To celebrate our cover stars MINGI, YEOSANG, WOOYOUNG and YUNHO, Men’s Folio looks at the best of ATEEZ’s fashion.

Is there a more apt time to revisit ATEEZ’s style than now?

Fans of the KQ Entertainment group may recognise them for a certain curated sound — cue Bouncy, please — but the guys of ATEEZ have well solidified their visual identity. Wide-legged pants, an affinity for dark-hued staple moments, and layered accessories are discernible in their stylistic vocabulary. Our April 2024 cover stars — MINGI, YEOSANG, WOOYOUNG and YUNHO — exemplify this well. Each bearing their own signature when it comes to stylistic choices — WOOYOUNG, for instance is nearly always clad in Balenciaga-esque silhouettes — a glimpse at the cover boys’ fashion choices will introduce you to the profound world of ATEEZ’s fashion.

“I don’t have a favourite, I like to wear a lot of different styles. But lately I’ve been wearing a lot of street styles in roomy sizes,” shares WOOYOUNG on his personal look. And it shows. Good style is not a quality that the boys take lightly. While K-Pop has holistically embraced more feminine ways of wear (neither crop tops nor figure-hugging silhouettes are out of place in the market), the boys of ATEEZ have found a way to integrate on-stage showiness into their daily ensembles. Sheer tops, plunging necklines and elaborate embellishments are commonplace in the signature ATEEZ look.

SEONGHWA (today’s birthday boy!) has been seen donning looks that veer ostentatious, rocking for instance a fur coat and a pair of dual-toned pants for his MATZ unit video. Meanwhile, YUNHO and JONGHO have fully made the “boyfriend”-handsome look their own, each imbuing their individualistic takes on rocking an off-duty handsome charm.

The former has been seen on more than one occasion in laid-back casuals (see above: he dons a perfectly-distressed tee thanks to Dior Men) while the latter always manages to look sharp, opting for suits and shirts, zhuzh-ed up with charming necklaces or bracelets. SAN too, has gone viral for his skin-tight get-ups, a style that complements his physique and has drawn eyeballs for leaving little to the imagination. As a whole, the boys flex a sense of fashion know-how, donning the best of street and luxury on a regular, while never shying away from accessorising, even with the most outlandish statement pieces.

It is ATEEZ’s esteem for the latest trends that qualifies them as ones to watch in the burgeoning ambassadorship market. Already, Hongjoong, the leader of the 8-piece group, has kickstarted the group’s foray into luxury fashion — Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing has personally cited him to be an “inspiration”, and confirmed by his attendance at the label’s SS24 show in Paris.

From on-stage to off-duty, we look back at some of the boys’ best looks for ATEEZ-inspired dressing, just in time for their hotly-anticipated performance at Coachella, come next week.
