Dubbed the Montblanc Extreme 3.0 Collection, the new Summer 2022 signature leather accessories moots as upcoming trend sensations with a newly-composed texture and selection of noticeably transgressional shapes. 

The great Bauhaus movement is having something of a moment almost 100 years later. Geometric patterns, almost in complete uniformity, has appeared across most fashion labels in the past year itself — as quilted garments, on the linings of dresses, and apparently even on the accessories. But what has set it apart from the past lies in the way it has been interpreted for our times.

For Marco Tomasetta, Montblanc’s newly appointed artistic director, this movement is seen in the revival of an archive texture that has been reimagined in the new line of the Montblanc Extreme 3.0 Collection. For Summer 2022, Tomasetta utilised graphic images created by Grete Gross, Montblanc’s Head of Advertising who deeply influenced Montblanc’s visual language in the 1920s — drawing inspiration to the rational, geometrical and pragmatic visuals which were highly influenced by the Bauhaus style of the time.
