Summer is a State of Bliss with Louis Vuitton’s Taurillon Monogram and Monogram Macassar Collections

  • By Cheryl Ong

Louis Vuitton welcomes the summer and travel-approved Taurillon Monogram and Monogram Macassar Collections for men.

The highly anticipated Pharrell’s debut menswear collection was shown at Paris Fashion Week in June, and we can barely wait for it to hit the stores. So in the meantime, here’s a fresh, summery edition of the Taurillon Monogram and Monogram Macassar Collections for men in their Summer 2023 collection.

Travelling is a constant rediscovery of oneself and opens doors to new possibilities. While Louis Vuitton has always been rooted in the art of travel, they endlessly dedicate themselves to give us a reason to take a pause of life somewhere else.

As an ode to the Maison’s spirit of travel, the Taurillon Monogram and Monogram Macassar collections embody the vivacious hues of summer, reimagining refined leather goods with an alluring colour palette and contemporary flair. Such ethereality of the campaign beckons us to take a step back and perhaps appreciate the calm of flora and fauna as we move into the new season and welcome summer.

Louis Vuitton’s Taurillon Monogram and Monogram Macassar collections welcome bold, seasonal iterations for Summer 2023. This time, the Taurillon Monogram collection in embossed leather showcases key shapes — including the Christopher backpack, the slim Sac Plat mini, and the Keepall 25 — in an eye catching shade of electric Racing Blue and sophisticated urbane Mineral Gray, with contrasting hardware in matte black or palladium silver, respectively.

In tangent with the late Virgil Abloh’s legacy of infusing vibrant shades into the DNA of the Maison, it continue to give a fresh breath of air. Travelling in style is how the borders of travel and fashion merge — airport fashion consists of comfortable clothing for us to rest comfortably on our flights, but as our luggage takes on a voyage on their own as they set off on the belt beside the travel counters, we are rest assured they are also on a luxurious adventure.

An adequate travel essential is not one without two or more extra functions that merge with form.

Take the Soft Polochon bag for example, a roomy cylindrical shape that offers versatility of wear. New to this season, the bag has two removable straps, one a woven shoulder strap and the other a handle in yellow leather for travellers to move around with ease. The Horizon and other travel favourites as well as a selection of small leather goods are also available in Monogram Macassar with Radiant Sun accents.

Louis Vuitton takes pride in reinventing travel accessories and packaging, after all they are a well known malletier. For a further peace of mind, the companion of a crossbody bag is essential to find all that we need — instead of rummaging through your bag for your passport.

After all, Louis Vuitton is a well-known malletier, so they take care in redesigning travel accessories and packaging. Your travel must-haves include not only your passport and basics, but also the best cross body bags for effortlessly finding everything you need.

It would only be a full array of matching must-haves with the addition of pocket organisers and wallets, for you to find everything that you need easily. These include the iconic Horizon rolling luggage and a Dopp Kit bag that are also available in saturated, summery Racing Blue.

Following the footsteps of the late Virgil Abloh’s colour-filled Louis Vuitton, colours come to the fore in the the must-have Monogram Macassar pieces. Trimmed with vibrant Radiant Sun yellow leather that amps up contrast, a playful energy is brought to the the Christopher backpack, Keepall and S-Lock messenger bag in the Maison’s signature Monogram canvas.

In July 2023, these vibrant iterations of the Taurillon Monogram and Monogram Macassar will be available in-store and online as we enter a Louis Vuitton lead by Pharrell.
