Levity is in bloom with Loewe’s Panda Compact Hammock bag. Adornments are aplenty, beyond the Hammock’s signature bells and whistles — glossy gold loops and hooks permeates the structured model and allows for three ways of wear — leather intarsia motifs paint a whimsical introduction, panda prints are omnipresent in its lining and an exhilarating choice of charms are made for personalisation.

Designed in conjunction with Kyoto-based ceramic studio Suna Fujita that is famed for its adoration for the natural world, the capsule breathes life into playful abstractions. Pandas which frolic among cloud-pruned trees command focus; foregrounding the larger savoir-faire brought about by the Hammock. Envisioning a glorification for the universe that surrounds, the bottle green Hammock is the canvas to which Shohei Fujita, Chisato and Loewe’s craftsmen unravel full expressions of creativity. In signalling whimsy, a supreme dedication to artisanship is still upheld. Detailed leather marquetry is applied, and vibrant strips of grained leather are precisely cut; and then embedded in the expanse of supple satin calfskin.
