#TechTeam — The Men’s Folio Team’s Take On This Week’s Most Desired Cameras
Every week, the Men’s Folio Team shares the latest tech items that they desire, not limiting to whether these gadgets will actually end up in their possession. This week, it’s all about cameras — film, digital and everything else.

Unless you are a professional photographer or have a job that requires high-resolution photos, the relatively high-quality cameras pre-installed in phones these days are more than good enough for the layman.

But if you are looking for a different perspective on our everyday lives, consider some of the Men’s Folio team’s most desired cameras that range from old-school film, powerful high-res and high-speed cameras, to an early compact point-and-shoot.

Charmaine Tan, Senior Digital Writer: Contax T3
Since this column doesn’t take into account any realistic budget, I would very much like to have this exorbitantly pricey but high-performing film camera (as seen on Sofia Coppola, Kendall Jenner, G-Dragon, Frank Ocean and more) at my beck and call, anytime, anywhere.

Bryan Goh, Deputy Editor: Fatal Frame Camera Obscura Replica
Technically, it’s not a fully functional camera but objectively, if you’re a huge Fatal Frame fan (yes, even the Maiden of Dark Water entry), having a replica of the Camera Obscura (the picture above was made by a fan) is a dream… until it starts taking photos of ghostly phenomenon on its own.

I chanced upon Jason Mamoa’s video of the Red Komodo while I was scrolling through YouTube one fine day and it left a deep impression. I’m no filmmaker but what a fine campaign this one is that I had a fleeting thought to part with a sizable sum of money.

Manfred Lu, Senior Fashion Stylist and Writer: Nikon COOLPIX S2600
Compact cameras are all the rage now thanks to the recent resurgence of Y2K aesthetics, and the only iconic series of cameras from that era is no other than the Nikon Coolpix — Hyein from NewJeans would totally sport it.

Izwan Abdullah, Associate Creative Director: Diana Baby 110 Camera
The Diana Baby 110 Camera is not only super portable, but it also comes with an interchangeable 12mm lens with a focal length of 24mm. Pretty big for something so small. Lomography should consider renaming the Diana Baby to Diana Boss Baby.

This is my choice of camera mainly for its ability to mask the selfie stick and create cool angled videos.
