Staytion Unveils First Multi-Concept Lifestyle Space For MRT Stations At MarsilingStaytion opens its first multi-concept lifestyle space at Marsiling MRT station, allowing commuters to work, meet, dine or shop in a single place conceptualised by award-winning design firm Farm.

Places of transit occupy romantic spaces in our lives. They represent moments of reflection, and are a time to give and receive affection even if the actual space was not built for it. But the emotional attachment humans have for ritual and tradition is more often than not, ignored for efficiency; you commute to get from one place to the other in the most convenient matter, and the path you take is not responsible for what happens when you get from Point A to Point B.

But not when a space like Staytion is available, its first branch settling in the north at Marsiling MRT station. Thoughtfully designed by multi-disciplinary award-winning design firm Farm, the lively multi-concept lifestyle space reinvents and transforms the familiar transit environment into a more productive and innovative space, equipped with reliable Wi-fi and focus spaces like meeting nodes, cosy reading nooks, and cafés. This means you don’t have to compete with shoppers in malls to find a space to sit down and focus — just head over to the MRT station instead.

At Staytion, users can choose to book hot desks or a private studio, via a real-time digital platform which offers the flexibility of an hourly rate. So if you’re looking for somewhere other than home or the office to work, here’s another option you will definitely want to consider. Even more so if you stay in the area.

Jane Toh, CEO of Staytion, teamed up with start-up veterans Toby C Shu and Yoeven D Khemlani to conceive this project. “Through Staytion, we want to offer more choices for the daily commuter who wishes to meet, answer their emails on the go or grab a coffee to rest their feet while taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the daily commute,” said Jane Toh, CEO at Staytion. “We’ll continue adopting a growth mindset and building commuter-centric ecosystems to serve all hybrid lifestyle needs in one place.”
