Sneakertopia: Step Into Street Culture Is The Formative Experience Of The Art In StreetSneakertopia: Step Into Street Culture is the hallmark, large-scale and immersive sneaker and street culture exhibition you need to visit.

This Saturday, the ArtScience Museum will welcome both veteran and budding sneaker-heads alike to partake in a colourful and larger-than-life celebration of all things sneaker and street culture. Sneakertopia: Step Into Street Culture is an exhibition that will present On ten rich thematic zones of close to 70 murals, installations, designs and displays, that spread the love of sneakers through the lenses of everything from entertainment, sports, film and art — with over 100 limited-edition sneakers from some of the most iconic brands in the industry to boot.

Founded by Emmy Award-winning producer Steve Harris and Silicon Valley tech entrepreneur Steve Brown in 2019, Sneakertopia was born to allow the sneaker to be shared and enjoyed by audiences of all ages and backgrounds, savouring how its significance coalesces the cultural influence of basketball, hip-hop, skateboarding and high fashion’s impact on street culture. This exhibition will also demonstrate how subcultures are formed, letting visitors experience firsthand how these communities interact and engage in a continuous dialogue of creativity and authenticity.

Sneakertopia: Step Into Street Culture Is The Formative Experience Of The Art In Street“Sneakertopia can be seen as a follow up to our 2017 exhibition Art from the Streets, which was a major survey of street art,” said Honor Harger, Vice President of ArtScience Museum and Attractions, Marina Bay Sands. “Sitting at the intersection of fashion, technology and art, the exhibition explores the cultural significance of sneakers, how they became so highly covetable, and how they have inspired the practices of artists in Singapore and around the world.”

Prior to its Asian debut, Sneakertopia had a successful launch in Los Angeles, followed by two well-received pop-up experiences in China in October 2021, and Singapore’s Culture Cartel in December 2022. This collaboration with ArtScience Museum will cement the event as the first international event to combine sneaker and art, propelling Singapore to be a leader of the regional sneaker and art community.
