Saint Laurent Launches Luxury's First Production House With Debut Film To Show At Cannes 2023Saint Laurent has taken it’s love for art to the next level with the launch of its own production arm — a first ever move for a luxury brand.

Anthony Vaccarello’s cinematic take on fashion has no doubt elevated the visuals and nuances of Saint Laurent’s offerings to new, unwavering heights. Over the past few years, we have seen numerous art collaborations and activations take place at SAINT LAURENT RIVE DROITE, emulating and extending his version of Parisian chic to not only be fashionable, but also seductive, provocative and art-loving by nature. This month, he takes that vision a step further with the launch of Saint Laurent Productions — a registered subsidiary of the house, making Saint Laurent the very first luxury house to count the full-fledged production of films among its activities.

Selected to author the production house’s upcoming feature-length projects include directors David Cronenberg, a Canadian filmmaker who most recently put out the well lauded body horror film Crimes of the Future (2022), as well as Paolo Sorrentino, known for visually striking and complex dramas like Consequences of Love (2004), The Great Beauty (2013) and most recently, The Hand of God (2021). “These directors never fail to open my mind and, in a way, the singular, radical vision they bring to cinema has made me the person I am today,” said Vaccarello.
