The PARKROYAL on Pickering recently welcomed the cast and crew of Hollywood spy action flick Agent 47. Based on the popular videogame series “Hitman’’, Agent 47 is the first major Hollywood studio film to have key scenes shot in Singapore. 20th Century Fox kicked off the filming in Berlin earlier this year before moving the 200-strong production crew to our sunny shores for the climax scene.
Film director Aleksander Bach and starring actors including Rupert Friend (The Young Victoria and TV series Homeland), Zachary Quinto (American Horror Story, Heroes and Star Trek), and Ciaran Hinds (Rome and Game of Thrones), stayed on location at the hotel together with members of the crew.
When the action-packed film is released in 2015, Singaporeans and hotel guests are sure to recognise the PARKROYAL on Pickering’s iconic cabanas and infinity pool, as well as popular spots in surrounding Chinatown.
